A meeting took place in Lahore between the Pakistan Film Producers Association and a government delegation from Bangladesh. During the meeting, emphasis was placed on reviving cultural activities between the two countries. The discussion included commercial film releases, exchange of film delegations, advancements in film technology, and a comprehensive conversation on cultural exchange.

Chairman of the Pakistan Film Producers Association, Shehzad Rafique, emphasized in his address that this is a golden opportunity to reclaim the market that had once been lost. He stressed the importance of a one-point agenda between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Bangladesh’s High Commissioner, MD Iqbal Hussain Khan, in his speech, stated that co-productions between the two countries should be resumed. He also stressed the revival of the SAARC cultural program and offered full support from the Bangladeshi consulate. He suggested that a film festival showcasing movies from both countries should be organized, noting that joint film production would strengthen the film industry.
Members of the Pakistan Film Producers Association expressed their happiness and emphasized the need to work together. At the event, film star Shaan said, “It is no longer the time to shake hands, it is time to embrace.” Other speakers included Safdar Malik, Syed Noor, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, Zulfiqar Mana, Masood Butt, and Imran Islam.
