At the Lahore Press Club, actor Tahir Anjum cut a cake to celebrate the start of Tajikistan’s New Year, Nowruz.

Actor Tahir Anjum mentioned that the Embassy of Tajikistan in Islamabad, Pakistan, has appointed him as their Special Representative for Culture.

During a press conference at the Lahore Press Club, actor Tahir Anjum stated that the Embassy of Tajikistan in Islamabad has appointed him as their Special Representative for Culture, and as a part of this, he has officially begun cultural activities.

Tahir Anjum highlighted that the shared history between the Indian subcontinent and Central Asia is ancient and significant, but it has not received much attention over the past centuries. He mentioned that Tajikistan’s New Year, Nowruz, is being celebrated, and today, the foundation for celebrating Nowruz in Lahore has been laid. In May, the President of Tajikistan will visit Pakistan, and the official opening of the Tajikistan Cultural Center office in Lahore will take place.

Tahir Anjum, along with President of Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari, Vice President Afzal Talib, Choudhry Hafeez, Tahir Bukhari, Thakur Lahori, and A.R. Gul, cut the cake to celebrate Tajikistan’s New Year.
