Singer Tanveer Afridi organized the book launch ceremony for “Kon Yaadon Ko Zanjeer Pehnayega,” written about his mentor, the legendary musician Nisar Bazmi, at a local hotel. During the event, royalty checks were also distributed by the music company EMI among musicians and singers. The chief guest was renowned ghazal singer Ghulam Ali. Other guests included musicians M. Arshad, singer Ghulam Abbas, singer Tarannum Naz, singer Humaira Channa, Rashid Mahmood, Tariq Tafo, Amroziya, Bushra Sadiq, Anwar Rafi, Raju Jameel, Arif Butt, Ajmal Dewan, Shahid Kamal, Naeem Wazir, Abid Ali Nimbo, Alishah Jafri, Faiziab Siddiqui, Moeen Zubair, Muhammad Qurban, Tahir Bukhari, Rafiq Mughal, A.R. Gul, Ehtesham Soharwardi, Rana Naveed, Anjum Shehzad, M. Shehzad, Abdul Salam Ali, Shajaruddin, Waqar Ashraf, Afzal Karim Butt, Rana Sohail Ahmed, and Naveed Akhtar Siddiqui.
Ghazal singers Ghulam Ali, Ghulam Abbas, Tarannum Naz, M. Arshad, and Amroziya highlighted different aspects of the life of musician Nisar Bazmi.
The book “Kon Yaadon Ko Zanjeer Pehnayega” includes the biography of the late musician Nisar Bazmi, significant events, important revelations, and a complete detail of the songs composed by him in his films.
Nijat Ali began the program with an outstanding violin performance. Musicians M. Arshad and Rashid Khan paid tribute to Nisar Bazmi by giving a remarkable live performance on the saxophone.
Royalty checks were distributed, including those for the late poet Khawaja Pervez, which was received by his son Raju Jameel from Ghazal singer Ghulam Ali. The check for the late Kaleem Usmani was delivered by Ajmal Dewan to his wife. The check for the late musician Zulfiqar Atre was received by his sons Bilawal Zulfiqar and Maitham Zulfiqar. The check for the late musician Khalil Ahmed was received by his son Khalid Khalil, and the check for the late musician Wajahat Atre was received by his son Ali Atre. The check for musician Master Abdullah was received by Afzal Abdullah, and the check for Saleem Iqbal was received by Wajid Iqbal.
Singers Tarannum Naz, Humaira Channa, Ghulam Abbas, Saif Abbas, Faisal Latif, and Tanveer Afridi paid tribute to their mentor by singing his songs.
The country’s famous sound engineer Idrees Khan showcased his talents during the ceremony. The event was hosted by Mateen Mahmood and Dr. Sohail Hashmi.
